To Lee Hill District of Spotsylvania County,
I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Mrs. Gabrielle Pickover for the Spotsylvania County School Board. Mrs. Pickover is an exceptional educator who played a pivotal role in the academic success of my children, both of whom were on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for reading comprehension.
Throughout their time under Mrs. Pickover’s guidance, she demonstrated a remarkable dedication to their progress. She regularly provided extra assistance during and after school, ensuring they had the support they needed to excel. Mrs. Pickover’s commitment extended beyond the classroom; she conducted extensive Zoom meetings to discuss their progress in detail and outlined actionable steps to enhance their performance. Her level of communication exceeds expectations, always ensuring that my calls, emails, and correspondence are addressed promptly and in detail.
Throughout their time in Mrs. Pickover’s classroom, she demonstrated unwavering patience and an innate understanding of each student’s unique learning style. She collaborated closely with our family and the IEP team members, ensuring that goals were not only met but oftentimes exceeded. Her encouragement inspired my children to embrace challenges and celebrate their achievements, no matter how small.
Gabrielle's proactive approach included recommending additional materials and support tailored to their needs. She consistently checked in to update us on their standing and offered additional support whenever necessary. Her efforts not only improved their academic abilities but also significantly boosted their confidence.
Under Gabrielle's tutelage, my children's progress soared. Her ability to connect with them and foster a positive learning environment made a lasting impact on their educational journey.
I do not doubt that Gabrielle Pickings' dedication, passion, and expertise will make her an invaluable asset to the Spotsylvania County School Board. I wholeheartedly recommend her for this position and believe she will continue to influence the lives of many students positively.
